Manila -Asia’s Exciting Metropolis

For fun filled days and lively nights, don’t hesitate to visit Manila.

The exciting capital of the Philippines will surrender to your wishes, offering you a vibrant cultural scene, a wealth of history, sublime shopping and incredible dining.  All you have to is give it a chance.  It will surpass all your expectations.

For great weather, consider the months of November through February.  They’re slightly cooler and the rains are scarce unlike other times in the year when monsoons tend to make an appearance.

Manila is certainly a metropolis bustling with energy and excitement.  Filled with mammoth size shopping malls, flea markets and fantastic souvenir venues, it’s a dream come true for shopaholics.  And with nightclubs, bars and lounges that stay open until wee hours of the morning, you’ll need a vacation to unwind from this one.

But you can always slow down the pace and stop to admire the magnificent sunsets or spend the afternoon in Rizal Park one of the continent’s largest and most beautiful.  Treat yourself to a round of golf at the top fairways of Asia or head out to any of the country clubs in the city offering swimming pools, state of the art health spas, bowling alleys and gymnasiums for even those who aren’t members.

Touring the sites will bring you much joy as you’ll discover the treasures left behind from medieval days.  Behind the walls of the Spanish Quarter, you’ll witness a plethora of churches, homes and buildings that have been carefully restored to reflect their original splendor.  Make sure to stop by the San Agustin Church, a fine example of 1600s architecture showcasing a hand carved door, Baroque altar and a pipe organ from the 18th century.

If time allows, browse through the exhibits of the National Museum of the Philippines, home to displays of geological, anthropological, archaeological and historic finds that attest to the wealthy history of the country.  Visit the American Cemetery & Memorial, a popular spot for veterans of World War II.

And if at all possible, plan for your trip to coincide with the Fete de la Musique Festival offering the performances of more than one hundred groups and bands.

So begin making preparations, for you’re about to experience Asia’s best.
